This set contains two pairs of earring backs. One in sterling silver. The other is gilded silver. They arrived in a beautiful pink velvet case. The backs are each 8mm in diameter so they are designed for stand up earrings that are not huge or very heavy. They're great for lifting large earrings that need tilting, and they're useful for people with stretched or torn earlobe piercings. These 925 sterling silver earring backs are the first real metal earring backs I have ever owned. I have some old plastic pens with a silicone stopper that the pen goes through. This silicone will stretch and after a while it will become too big to hold the pens. These sterling silver earrings can be adjusted with needle nose pliers if they are too big. So far so good, no adjustment needed. However, some earrings have a narrower shank than other earrings. It's so nice to find metal backs for earrings these days. I can absolutely recommend these earrings. This product deserves 5 stars.
