Review on Bosch TS1016 Outfeed Support Assembly by Will Powers

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poorly designed solution for an excellent table saw

Installation on the 4100 is unnecessarily complicated. There is barely enough room in the bracket on the right side of the saw to fit screws and then you are given a 5mm wrench to try and tighten those screws. This is not an easy task for a person with normal hands. There is so little room to work that a 5 minute installation task took 20 minutes. Yes, it took 20 minutes to install 4 screws. In addition, all 4 mounting screws were 1mm longer. You actually have to unscrew them to fully install the mounting brackets. It was very difficult on the right side, where you have very little space for a wrench. Basically you will end up with a rattle if you don't fasten it tightly. After installation you will find that the guide rail gets in the way preventing you from fully pushing the assembly onto the deck. In the end I was ashamed of Bosch. Not worth the time and effort.
