Review on Arris TM822G DOCSIS 3.0 8x4 Ultra-High Speed Telephony Modem by Justin Kautzman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Another happy owner Arris TM822G

First some info: Live in Massachusetts. They have a three-pack with Comcast/Infinity. Leased last 4 years - Arris TM402P - DOCIS 2.0 - incorrectly listed as 3.0 on my Comcast bill. Tried switching to another rented DOSIS 3.0 modem and listed Arris TM822G - Comcast continued to send me their Technicolor modem/wireless router combo - I gave up and bought my own from Dontleaseyourmodemdotcom through Revain (very happy with both providers). Bottom Line: If you need a dial-up modem and a separate router (for whatever reason), you'll love the Arris TM822G Touchstone® DOCSIS 3.0 8x4 Ultra High-Speed Dial-up Modem. allowed me to bring up the Comcast activation screen. Maybe I was too impatient. I called 1-855.652.3446 and was fortunate to have someone knowledgeable and very helpful. She wrote down my account number, phone number, EMAC, CMAC and new modem serial number and then called the prep department to write down the new modem while I was on standby. Then she sent a signal to set up the modem. TV and internet worked. The time is about 30 minutes. I then called the number provided by Methylamine (1-800-931-0790) and was again fortunate to have a knowledgeable and very helpful technician. She wrote down my account number, phone number, EMAC, CMAC, and serial number of the new modem and verified that everything was correct. Then she sent a signal to set up the phone. I made a test call and then she called me to make sure it was working. The time is about 15 minutes. Overall I am very happy with this modem and would appreciate the $7 rent being deducted from my bill.
