Works for me with Comcast

This review was for an Arris TM822G purchased through Revain (sold as 'new' Miakota through Revain Prime) February 2015. This is a telephone cable modem. (allows you to get both internet and phone service through your cable TV provider). I received the modem this week and hooked it up this morning with no problems. Connection issues with Time Warner

I can't comment on how well the TM822G works (brand new - no preconfigurations). Due to connection issues with Time Warner cable phone and internet (hence my rating is 1 star). I recently bought an Arris TM822G modem and tried activating it with Time Warner today. This modem replaced a rented modem from TW (Arris TM402P). The system (computer/modem/telephone) worked yesterday. After activating a new TM822G device today, it registers with the headend but does not issue an IP address to my device

Another happy owner Arris TM822G

First some info: Live in Massachusetts. They have a three-pack with Comcast/Infinity. Leased last 4 years - Arris TM402P - DOCIS 2.0 - incorrectly listed as 3.0 on my Comcast bill. A phone modem that works for Comcast Triple Play at very high internet speeds!

I bought this to replace a Cisco DPC3939 modem (built in wi-fi router) leased from Comcast for a triple play plan. The Cisco rental worked excellently with 130 Mbit/s D/L and 13 Mbit/s upload and a large range in dual-band WiFi. Only did it to avoid $8 a month.
