Review on 🔧 Woodstock D2796 12-Inch Dovetail Jig with High-Quality Aluminum Template by Alec Winsor

I almost never write product reviews. I was impressed that Woodstock (aka Shopfox) took advantage of the criticism to replace the plastic stencil with an aluminum stencil recommended by several customers. When I bought one I was surprised that it didn't include the router bit as advertised. While playing with it to understand its function, I noticed that the knob settings conflicted with each other. At the limit, one hold bumped into the other. 2, the two adjustments that extend the width of the horizontal part are tied to the largest width due to the lack of spacer. The shim keeps it level (this is a tricky decision due to the square nut holding it on the rail). Still trying to keep it, I took it apart to oil the parts, thinking I could live with that. It was very difficult to reassemble it because of the clogged nuts. If you're willing to appreciate dovetails, you'll recognize bad design. I applaud Woodstock for its price, but in this case you get what you pay for. Woodstock, in the spirit of customer satisfaction, please continue and improve!
