Fantastic product! Although it takes forever to install!

I agree with other reviewers that I didn't notice a huge difference right away, but the next day and the following days I did notice a definite improvement. I don't know if this is science or just too high mental expectations after many hours of work, but either way the end result is bloody awesome. I used this product very sparingly. I installed it inside the door panels on the sheet metal of the body between the horizontal braces, taking either 2-3 pieces per door or an average of 1.5-2 product sheets per door. In addition to what was in the door, I also ditched the plastic moisture barrier entirely and cut the sheets into shapes that perfectly cover all the holes in the doors. Finish hole scores? Amazing stereo reproduction and strong bass boost. As a finishing touch, I took apart the door panels myself and used small strips of product between sections, such as: B. Cup holders to prevent them from buzzing against each other. Let's go to the trunk! I didn't use 100% coverage as you can see in many photos. I cut each sheet of metal into 8 identical rectangles and place them around the trunk, starting with the largest flat sections of sheet metal that make the most noise. From there I simply worked around the barrel, tapping the sheet metal as I walked and placing the material where needed. Note that this is a perfectly acceptable application method as the purpose of this material, unlike MLV (Mass Loaded Vinyl), is to dampen sheet metal vibration, NOT to block sound waves. It can be used sparingly to cover more areas without sacrificing too much performance. However, if you go overboard with the coating and even use multiple layers, performance will improve, just as this material is more efficient than its 50mil counterpart. I used double coats on the panels closest to the exhaust because I have loud sport mufflers that hum a lot on the Autobahn. This was my first major interior demolition and I found it very educational. I also managed to break a few lugs here and there where the plastic was brittle, so you might need a trim piece or two if you're impatient, don't know what you're doing, or have an old car. .
