That's power! On long journeys, we need to power all of our various electrical accessories; those things we have come to consider needs. For my wife it was a heating pad but for me it was a laptop. We've tried other smaller inverters that make your cigarette plug look like an AC plug, but they were noisy and only worked temporarily for a heating pad. This device has a fan, but it only turns on when needed. So far, our device has fed the heating pad silently and continuously. Since my laptop uses less power, I expect the same when using it. We love this device and can only recommend it.
