Review on 100cc Oxy-Sorb Oxygen Absorber Packets, 100 Pack - Enhanced Freshness Protection for Long Term Food Storage by Tricia Rae

I bought some of these for long-term food storage and I remember reading another review that said they were "used" as they were already doing their job , because the eye was a certain color. I cut open the package. Use 3 or 4 packs and the indicator eye quickly started to turn purple. I worked as fast as I could and I have a Foodsaver vacuum sealer so I sealed the main package asap. The eye turned a few shades of purple, but turned bright pink again the next day, as the rest of the packet had probably absorbed what little O2 it had gotten into. I won't count them all to make sure it's 100, but it's good enough for me. Just make sure you work with it quickly and there's no reason to take it with you if you don't have a vacuum sealer or it's probably a waste of time.
