The 5 inch model fully supports Raspbian and looks great!
It worked once connected to my PI 3 A with Raspbian and required no configuration or driver changes. The resolution is very good for the size and price, which makes typing easier when working on the command line. The touchscreen works well enough that I don't need a mouse, which is handy considering the Model A only has a USB port.
