I recently had a baby, so we have been having more visitors. I needed an option that could serve as additional seating, but did not take up a lot of space (we live in a narrow row home) and that was also useful to us outside of having guests. I use the storage compartment for baby stuff, and I use the lid as a floor cushion when baby is playing on the floor—this is a HUGE bonus that I love and hadn’t even thought about. The color and texture of the fabric are lovely and seem high quality for the price. I would definitely recommend this ottoman and am considering a 2nd one for our nursery.
