Does not fit in the center of the inside of the door

The tab on the camera side does not fit in the standard peep holes in the doors. So I had to drill a hole. Then: The bracket will fit in the center of the door, but if the video unit is installed inside, it will be about 3/4 inch from the center of the door. looks stupid i can return it
