ION Slides2PC Scanner

The ION SLIDES2PC scanner has lived up to expectations. If 35mm slides are good, then so is scanning to your computer. However, if the slides are slightly faded or discolored, it is often not worth keeping the scanned image. The process is a bit slow as you can only scan 3 slides at a time, but you can actually scan 12 slides into the scanner before transferring them to your computer. If you have plenty of time and good slides this little machine is worth the money. I didn't use Walmart's slide to CD service because they charge 20 to 29 cents per slide. The price of ION (taking into account Walmart fees) allows you to break even with ION after scanning 300-350 slides. Everything after that is free - and you still have a car. Despite its problems, the ION SLIDES2PC scanner is worth the money. If you need faded or discolored slides to display satisfactorily on your PC, try Walmart or Photo Lab. More expensive but better on bad slides.

Pros
  • Quickly and easily transfers 35mm negatives and slides to a PC or laptop
Cons
