Edited: Jack not holding pressure

Edited: After writing the following review, the jack failed under heavy loading and needs to be restored. The jack does not hold the pressure and slowly leaks down. other tricks are useless. I can hear air coming out of the main seal. I'm pretty sure this is caused by the shipping and likely storage of the device on its side rather than upright. or I had a handle that indicated the correct vertical position. Now I have to spend extra time and money rebuilding the jack, ugh. I got my Jack from Amazon a few days ago. I read a lot of reviews about the shipping and possible leaks and damage. This is a very large and heavy unit that arrived to my door in a shipping carton but was cross-wrapped. Of course, due to the side shipping process, this led to oil leakage, which was a little worrying when opening the box. After following the bleed instructions, which actually included some air to bleed, the jack appears to be working as expected and requires no further maintenance. And yes, with jacks that heavy, they don't retract automatically. All you have to do is apply pressure and it will fall back down. If this one works the way I need it to, I will most likely buy a second one.

Pros
  • Traction and lifting
Cons
