Let's be honest. No one wants to pace up and down to open a door like dogs want in and out. So now I have two of these doors. They're durable, strong and secure, which means nothing gets in or out if I don't want it to. I use the large size for my Lab/Goldie mix who weighs 85 pounds, but the salon style swing doors open easily with my 15 pound terrier mix. It gets very cold where I live, these doors retain heat while working efficiently and sealing well. Can't say enough good things about her. Sure, they cost a lot of money and are a little tricky to install, but once built, they're durable. I know people who have replaced three doors and my first door still looks and works like new after three years. This resulted in a second door being installed to allow my dogs access to the yard. We have bears in our neighborhood and I love that I can lock the door and be sure no unwanted visitors are coming in, and the metal latch in the panel allows me to completely close the door when I'm out of town for that have to leave the weekend. Yes the cost will make you think twice but if you do = you won't regret buying and installing this wonderful product. Your dogs will love you for it.
