I purchased this pump three years ago for a 23 foot shallow well. It recently stopped pumping after I shook the well with an airlift to clear a few feet of sand due to the upcoming drought. I'm afraid this year the well will dry up without sinking a few more feet. My shallow well has filled about 36 inches in the last 65 years. Doesn't sound like much, but it's a lot of water with a 4 foot caisson. The water is hard. Although my pump looks good inside, the label is rusted because the manufacturer is said to use metallic ink. The electrical connections were also rusted, but otherwise everything is fine. This pump has been pumping 1300 gallons of water per day for three years. I hope it helps.
