Bought the kit in open packaging at a discounted price and received a defective but otherwise new and fully functional kit. The housings are made of durable die-cast aluminum and equipped with PLASTIC lenses. Considering the current price of $120 (new), the PLASTIC lenses are a disappointing detail. Also, despite the imperfections of this particular device, the overall appearance should be considered: 1) The bends and welds on the mounting hardware appear to have been made by an amateur 2) The inner surface is not decorated with randomly colored areas 3) The plastic of the lens can be scratched with the Time yellowing or fading, and hot climate may cause deformation. If you can ignore the unfinished look and ignore plastic lenses, try them out and judge for yourself. These headlights look almost identical to the headlights on my Q45 but fit my 1986 4Runner. I'll post an update in a few weeks!
