Started with a stainless steel check valve on my flat water piston pump. Cycle could not be started. Tilt the pump 30 degrees and finally run it once every four or five seconds. 7 liters per hour. Switched to this brass check valve after a month. Was able to keep the pump up and sustaining a cycle per second. Now the feed is 10-11 gallons per hour. It made the difference whether I watered my garden once or twice a week. I don't care if brass wears out faster than stainless steel. Little difference in the cost of maintaining a summer lawn.
