I bought these stones for a 20 gallon freshwater aquarium. I've always liked the look of these freshwater stones. I'm sure they will take on a very cool natural look over time. Preparatory work: When received, they were covered with stone dust due to normal delivery conditions. First, I sprayed them one at a time in the sink for a few minutes. Then, every 24 hours, I would completely submerge them in a 5 gallon bucket soaked in Seachem Prime. After the first 24 hours I sprayed each stone again, cleaned the bucket and soaked for another 24 hours. When they were done, they were completely ready to go. I had no build up on my gravel and didn't notice any haze when I put them in the tank. I've added a few dwarf shrimp and snails to the tank since I've had them and they seem to enjoy going out. poking around in the stones on them. Plus they look really cool!
