Remember that the slot is thinner in this new lock!

Attention! The slots in the old Kwikset Castle and this new Kwikset Castle are noticeably different. The slot for this new lock is slightly thinner than the slot on the original Kwikset lock. In addition, the new lock's key is only slightly thinner than the original Kwikset key. The "Axxess" duplicate of the original key matched the new lock perfectly and I was able to use the "Smartkey" feature to match the duplicate "Axxess". However, in order to use the original Kwikset key, I had to sand down the original key with steel wool to fit the new lock's narrower slot.
