Review on Enhanced Eye Comfort: Adjustable Brightness Desktop Monitor for Optimal Eye Care by Dave Adcox

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect for my use

I didn't order this for my monitor but I tried it there and it worked as advertised. My problem was to light up the audio interface controls for my computer and that was pretty much what I needed. It's long enough to cover the entire width of the UI and narrow enough to barely get in the way. The monitor mount is flat and sits well on the interface (I have to find a way to "lock" it in place to keep it from slipping) and I can adjust it so that the knobs and buttons are decently lit. .When the power supply is turned off, it retains its brightness settings, but - and this is really the only downside I've found so far - is that it doesn't remember when it was turned on/off and can be set manually must be turned on again. . It would be nice if it turned back on with power. As you can see in the photo there is a glare problem on the interface and I'm working on it, but for now the big problem is the presence of light on the interface. . This allows me to put away the small flashlight I used. And yes, I think it's a bit pricey for what I do with it, but this company has a great reputation in the photography world and I'm willing to pay a little more for it. The device is solidly built, delivers what it promises and should make work in my design studio a little easier and brighter.
