A very good product that will suit most. TL/DR: Very well made lightbar. Excellent luminous flux that beautifully illuminates the desk. Easily adjust light brightness, color temperature and angle. Any monitor is simple. Turning the light on/off can be difficult and may cause the device to fall off the monitor. Probably not the best solution if you're using a monitor-mounted webcam. Not suitable for video lighting during streaming. It would be nice if the remote control was included. I'm a big fan of Lume Cube products. I bought several and all worked as expected. The original Lume Cube, updated version (even better) and Panel Go BiColor light. The monitor panel is new to me, so I really wanted to try it. The product is very well made. Solid and not a trace of "cheapness". Slim and minimalist design with rotating control panel and easy operation on the right side. There was no documentation in the box that I received, but having used the Lume Cube products before assuming that some ease of use would suit the multi-function button pattern, I found it easy to figure out. The light balances on my curved 34-inch Dell display and appears relatively stable, with one exception that I'll mention below. The brightness of the light is regulated by a very gentle rotation of the side knob. With a single click of the same control/button, the brightness of the light changes to the color temperature of the light, with a very smooth transition from cold to warm. functional and efficient. Set your preferred color temperature and brightness, and light balance will reduce eye strain. I think it behaves the same as offset lighting with a TV. Your eyes will "see" the video much better with some backlighting. There is also a rotation function that allows you to adjust the angle as needed. I often minimize the lighting in a room while working on images. Using the monitor panel to add a balancing light was really nice. This greatly simplified the work of the eyes and the light could be controlled. Big win here. See image for an example of this. This is where I started to run into some problems. The desktop I've used this on is multifunctional. I work with images and also often use it for video calls while we live remotely. So I have a webcam that sits at the top of the display using the same balanced mounting approach as this monitor bezel. For this setup, I prefer to center the camera so I can interact remotely as much as possible. When using the monitor's light bar, you need to move the webcam in one direction or another. Not ideal and to be honest with my current setup at least this will be a hurdle for me. This can be solved by replacing the camera mount with a small tripod or stand, but this clashes with a minimal desktop approach. The next problem is turning on and off and sometimes clicking to change the temperature of the lighting. Because of the way it mounts and balances on the top edge, it's pretty easy to move around or fall off the balance point while you hold down to turn it off. And the price. It's on the expensive side. But in return you get a very well-made product with excellent light output. Maybe a case where you get what you paid for? If it weren't for the difficulty of mounting and changing, I would give 5 stars here. 4.5 is better but I can't. Generally well made Lume Cube. This is a solid product and I'm sure it will find a large user base.
