Review on Effortless Dust-Free Vacuum Sanding with ๐Ÿ”ฒ Hyde Tools 09165 6-Foot Drywall Hand Hose Sander by Travis Showcase

Holds dust but quite difficult to handle

Very good at reducing dust. I recommend buying a bag filter for your shop vac so you don't kick up dust when cleaning your vacuum. I used a small 2.5 gallon Shop Vac and it seemed to have enough suction to pick up dust and not stick the tool so tight against the wall that you can't move it. There is a suction adjustment on the tool and most of the time I kept it as closed as possible for maximum suction. It leaves a lot of very visible sanding scratches if you're not careful. You must always keep it perfectly level on the wall, otherwise it will leave big scratches. I have found that imperfect sanding from top to bottom or side to side is the best way to reduce scratches. Imagine a compass on a map where up/down is north/south. I've mostly sanded NW/SE or NE/SW and got pretty good results. The scratches left mostly disappeared when I walked over the wall to clean it with a wrung out sponge. Remember that using this thing is a complete hassle! Be sure to eat your Wheaties on the day you intend to use them. I had a very large room and thought I might die before I was done. This is a game for the physically prepared, which I don't seem to be one of.
