Holds dust but quite difficult to handle

Very good at reducing dust. I recommend buying a bag filter for your shop vac so you don't kick up dust when cleaning your vacuum. I used a small 2.5 gallon Shop Vac and it seemed to have enough suction to pick up dust and not stick the tool so tight against the wall that you can't move it. There is a suction adjustment on the tool and most of the time I kept it as closed as possible for maximum suction. It leaves a lot of very visible sanding scratches if you're not careful. You must alwaysโ€ฆ

Worked very well for me, I would buy again

First off, let me say that I *hate* puttying and plastering, I don't do it often enough so I'm not very good at it. This usually means I end up applying too many coats to even out the finish and then have to sand too much. Real drywall rarely gets dirty, and sometimes you never need to sand! Renovating a very small 8 x 8 pantry at my campsite I needed to replace the entire drywall but luckily not the ceiling so I decided not to take it. who takes the pole. I decided to try this thing, I reallyโ€ฆ

Works well with some flaws

Picks up almost 100% dust. In that respect it works perfectly. But the supplied hose was torn right at the plug when I unpacked it. Since this tool doesn't require a perfect seal (actually it's good to let off some of the suction otherwise it'll be too hard to move the grinder), I just taped the hose and used it as is. I also contacted Hyde and they sent me a replacement tube with no problem which was nice. However, the replacement is just as fragile and looks like it's about to break in theโ€ฆ

One of my best repair tools!

This is amazing. Our house had popcorn ceilings and a barn-thick orange peel texture. i hated it I've degreased our walls in the living room, dining room and kitchen, removed the popcorn from the ceiling and patched without it because the money wasn't enough, how about a little cleaning? I can tell you I was very wrong. There was no "cleanup", a blizzard was cleared of all this on the plane, in every room, covered, packed or not without. Fine dust got in everywhere. My first paint job suckedโ€ฆ

It's so cool I almost bought it for you.

I hate doing anything with drywall. I persuade my son-in-law to do it. I encourage my friends to do it. If Stalin knew how to do this, I would have hired him to do it. I hate drywall. First, I can't use mud to save my life. Second, since I hate dirt, I always have to do too much sanding, which means there could be a winter movie set in my house. Imagine James Bond coming down my stairs chasing Stalin doing my drywall. Then I bought it and it almost changed my life. Wow, that's a godsendโ€ฆ
