Review on LG 32UN500-W 31.5" Virtually Borderless Monitor with 3840x2160p, Anti-Glare Display, Built-In Speaker, and Wall Mount Compatibility by Todd Self

I decided to switch from a dual monitor setup to a one large monitor setup for a cleaner home workspace. This is also my first 4G monitor and came highly recommended. I also went with 4k because I thought I could fit 4 software blocks on the screen, one in each corner and do the same thing with a large screen what I did with two smaller screens and a much higher quality image receive. The built-in speakers were also a big plus for the clean look. The problem seems to be that with a large screen, if you center it, you're bound to be looking at the sides of the screen at an angle. When you're in the middle of the screen, the center looks fine, but the edges get faded around the corner. You would literally have to tilt your head to the side and look straight at the edge to avoid the white spot. I tried putting the monitor on the back of the desk which helped a little but defeated the purpose of the big screen and made everything too small and still look a bit blurry. There are also some weird HDR settings where you need to balance the looks. between SDR and HDR. I've fiddled with the settings as best I could and definitely improved the picture to a point where it's unsatisfactory at best, but why pay for this brand and 4k to have a screen that's just awful and at normal viewing is still blurry around the edges? Corner. Unfortunately, my first experience with LG was unsuccessful. I'll be back. I have to go to a real store and look at them in real life and find the one with the best viewing angles that works. Pros: 1) when I went full screen with HDR content, it looked great; 2) the speakers were great and only worked with the HDMI cable from my dock (no separate speaker cable needed); 3) Great aesthetics, loved the silver stand and white back.
