Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

For many years, there were no significant changes in the smartphone market: the screen diagonal was 5-5.5 inches, the screen was rectangular with large frames at the top and bottom, there was one main camera, screen resolution, camera characteristics, and functions remained practically unchanged. But now we can observe a big qualitative leap, which also occurred in the mid-price segment. The average screen size increased dramatically and began to be 6-6.5 inches, the screen itself became frameless, so the dimensions did not increase much, several main cameras appeared that allow you to take wide-angle shots and portrait blur. In addition, for the same cost, the proposed characteristics have increased dramatically. At the end of 2022, Samsung released the Galaxy A9 for 39990, and less than six months later, the Galaxy A50 came out, which has similar characteristics at a price 2 times lower. In my opinion, now is the best time to ate your smartphone 2-3 years ago, which I actually did.

Pros

• Huge frameless screen 6.4 inches, the frame is thinner than the iPhone XS Max, the camera's waterdrop notch is not large at all and looks harmonious, the usable screen area is even higher than that of the iPhone with its monobrow. • The best display among competitors, the quality is not inferior to the iPhone XS. • The smartphone is thin and light, the same iPhone XS Max seems thicker due to less smooth rounding at the edges, but it weighs an order of magnitude more. • Beautiful gradient back cover (in black), reminiscent of glass. Looks more interesting than a solid color. It doesn’t cause me any associations with gasoline, I recommend looking at a smartphone in a store. • 146K parrots in Antutu, slightly more than Galaxy A9 (which cost 40K just half a year ago), 25% more than Galaxy A8+ (which is also sold for 20K now), performance is very good for its price. • Three main cameras. In terms of stabilization, the main camera is an order of magnitude better than that of the Galaxy A5 2022 and is comparable to the iPad Pro 9.7, so when photographing text, the A50 and the tablet have no blurs at all, the A5 has blurry text in every second picture. There is HDR, but only at 12 MP. There is a portrait shooting (including on the front camera). Wide-angle shooting gives an amazing experience, even the iPhone XS Max (for 130 thousand something .) does not have such a camera. There is also slow motion video. For those who are not tempted by flagship cameras, this one should be beyond your eyes. • The fingerprint scanner works 80% of the time if you set up three identical fingers. But in reality, you will use it only when shopping through NFC and at night, in 90% of cases it is easier and faster to unlock by face. The in-screen fingerprint scanner will make even the owner of the iPhone XS Max open their eyes wide. • Fast charging included, always on display function (more functional than Galaxy a5 2022), high smartphone autonomy (a5 2022 had enough autonomy, you don’t think about it here either, it’s guaranteed to be enough for a day).

Cons

• The main drawback is just a lousy external speaker, the sound is just terrible, on the Galaxy A5 2022 it is an order of magnitude better. Perhaps the main disappointment, if you liked listening to music through an external speaker, look at other options. The speaker is also mediocre. But the headphones sound good. • Options: in the Galaxy a5 2022 they put headphones of the EO-HS1303 level, they put some rubbish here, they immediately threw it away. For 2022, they did not put a transparent case, although in other countries it is, almost any other manufacturer puts a case now, but Samsung saved money. • The actual size of the pictures will not be 25 MP, but 12 MP, since the camera only shoots HDR in this resolution. On the other hand, do you need more? • I wish the black bezel under the screen was smaller, but even the Galaxy S10e and flagships from other companies have it. • I would like metal frames and a glass back cover, as well as protection from water and dust, as the A-series has accustomed to this. You could even pay extra 5,000 thousand for it . But for your money and other characteristics it is difficult to attribute to a minus, the smartphone still looks solid, the back cover looks like glass. In addition, 90% of people will carry a smartphone in a case.
