Now I keep it in my RV. Pairs will be with stainless steel safety wire. I have a 1.04mm diameter wire and it is fine for normal clamp use. About a year ago, a nearly new coolant hose clamp broke while driving down the freeway and spilled all of my coolant. I was lucky enough to go through my contact list to find someone who could pick me up and drive to the AutoZone to get a new clamp and coolant. 2 hours later we were on our way again. If I had it, I'd be back on the road in less than an hour. I also used it to sew up a broken bumper cover on my old Buick.
