The main downside is that the rubber pads inside the cup holder that hold it in place just slip off when it gets hot, 80 degrees or more. The sticky stuff on the back just won't stay on the 3 retractable arms in the cup holder. My car was in the shade but the temp was over 80 and up. I got into the car and the frame tilted. Not helpful at all. Look at the clumps of white sticky material in the picture and how the rubber grips slide over the glide arms.
