Aurifil threads are the best in the range. I've tried using cheaper thread, but I had to keep cleaning the bobbin case of my Viking Husqvarna of lint. Aurifil 50 weight yarn is mercerized, which not only gives it a lighter color, luster and strength, but also reduces lint. Try this spool of thread and you will understand why it is so popular.
