Review on Elite Gourmet ESM2207 Sandwich Non Stick by Rebecca Jones

Well I was very excited to get this sandwich maker, I haven't had a good grilled cheese in years! Out of the box I followed the instructions before first use to T. After a few hours I get ready to go, put in my 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and start lowering the lid (lid). The top cracked before it even touched the bread! Afraid it might break, I didn't even try to squeeze it to snap it into place. I let it cool down a bit and kept pushing slowly until it clicked into place without using any force. During this whole ordeal, I forgot to turn on the timer, so I just kept staring at the sandwich until I thought it was done. It was golden all over but not fully cooked when I ate it. I just can't believe it broke on first use BEFORE I even put the lid (cover) on the sandwich! Oh I think you get what you pay for.
