After the package arrived, I connected everything. It worked fine on a USB 3 port, but the lights on the drive that wasn't there stayed on. The top and bottom lights flashed when the drive was being accessed, but those were the lights for drive 1, which flashed when the drive was in bay two. Turn off my computer overnight and then turn off the drive bay. In the morning when I first turn on the drive bay and then turn on the computer again, I'm greeted with a "USB device not recognized" message. I tried three other USB 3 ports and the bay was not recognized. Finally tried it on a USB 2 port and although the drives were recognized again the lights are still behaving very strangely. If the drive has not been used for an hour, the bay lights will blink in sets of three for no apparent reason. For USB 2, this is significantly slower than the much older single-bay KWI port that is said to have replaced it. In response to an email, KWI offered to try a different computer/drive, which doesn't solve the problems I'm having on the computer it's on. intended for use. The test showed the same symptoms on a second computer with a different drive. KWI did not respond to my second email to let me know. I'm not impressed - returning and ordering from another company.
