Review on Panasonic PV-V4540: Enhanced 4-Head Hi-Fi VCR for Superior Video Playback by John Brouillard

No major inconvenience. Small: You cannot use the number keys to enter channels when programming a timer; To program the timer you must first deselect the VCR plus (which I find useless) and then start it; When you start playback, the timer counter is not automatically displayed for a few seconds. Plus points in it: it seems that the remote control works even on a coffee table; You can stop the recording with the remote control (Power+Stop). Those are things I couldn't do with my old Phillips Magnavox (pretty crappy). I disagree with some of the other reviewers: I don't know of any VCR that can play European cassettes; I find the ad skip button pretty useless [and] that some important buttons are too small (especially the channel change buttons).
