Small: You cannot use the number keys to enter channels when programming a timer; To program the timer you must first deselect the VCR plus (which I find useless) and then start it; When you start playback, the timer counter is not automatically displayed for a few seconds. Overall this is a good and reliable VCR. There are a few design cues that the manufacturer should have considered before shipping. While watching a movie, "Play" will appear on the display. I personally like to keep track of the time when watching a movie and have to press the display button to get the time.
