Review on Sewing Seam Ripper Tool Set with 2 Large + 2 Small 🧡 Seam Rippers, 1 Pack of Thread Snips, and 1 Pack of 5” Scissors by Melissa Barnes

Great for cutting face mask elastics!

Pleasantly surprised! Would buy again. Pros: / Scissors make clean cuts (per thread, round elastic cord for face masks, scraps of fabric), even across the entire blade (middle and tip) / Thread cutters cut fairly cleanly (but needs help with initial sharpening on aluminum foil) / Cut all 4 thread cutters clean / unbeatable in terms of price "disadvantages": / the scissors must be "primed" because they were initially extremely stiff (open and close the blades about 20 times to "prime") / after priming the scissors were oil oozing from the pen area on either side of the blades, so be careful before using it on a project for the first time to avoid oil stains (even after rubbing the blades three times with a Bounty paper towel, the oil was still pooling on the Blade). ... it was almost funny because it seemed like it would leak out of nowhere lol!) I was looking for some sharp scissors to use while making the face mask. Unfortunately, I use my favorite pair of scissors to cut thread and rubber bands. It finally dawned on me that the rubber band dulls the blades of the scissors. The scissors from this set are therefore only assigned to one rubber band. Thank you for coming across them!

Pros
  • Small Stitch Ripper: Easy and convenient to get to those small places and undo thin stitches. The clear plastic cap can be used as an extension handle, the large sharp stitch ripper allows you to cut multi-layered fabrics very quickly and easily.
Cons
  • Some disadvantages
