You Can Do Better: Trek Water Bottles

I have this 24 oz. A bottle of On the Fly ($11.99) and a 24-ounce bottle of Nalgene. A bottle of On The Go ($6.49) at a time. One of the main reasons I bought both bottles was the claim that they were made in the USA and I was curious to see why one was $5.50 more expensive than the other. Both bottles have 'Made in USA' stamped on the bottom which is great. In fact, both bottle bodies appear to be identical and fully interchangeable, meaning the caps are interchangeable too. "Made in China". There is no indication of origin on the cap of the On the Go bottle. So, an overly complex lid that's carefully crafted in China will cost you an additional $5.50.

Pros
  • This Nalgene water bottle is fully sealed, made from virtually indestructible BPA-free Tritan, easy to clean, and is top rack dishwasher safe.
Cons
  • Working Speed
