My dentist wanted me to keep the expensive crowns he put in my mouth and offered me a night guard for over $350. So I paid a small price to see if this would suit me. It's good that they provide 4 mouthguards per sample. This way you won't waste money by skipping the first two challenges. I did NOT realize that the correct temperature for cooking the mold was in Celsius, but when I reheated it in water to almost 200 F, I got it to work. The first heated shape I bit off as instructed and then dipped in cold water to get the shape and then trimmed it a bit with scissors. This bite was uncomfortable with the upper and lower teeth locked in place. It says you can warm up and try again, but I've decided to continue with the second test form. I wanted my lower jaw to move away from the upper jaw pad. So this time I inserted the heated mold into my upper teeth and used my fingers to press it into every possible spot. The results were much more comfortable for me. It took me many nights to familiarize myself with him on the spot, and I had to learn to swallow saliva without thinking that I would choke on it. I wore it for several nights while reading in bed or doing other things to get used to having it in my mouth. Success finally came when I woke up in the morning with a toothbrush.
