Withstands the heat of South Texas and wins

I've read a lot of good and bad things about this fan. My rating is very good! Here's a little about where I put it. I have a 1999 Ford F150 pickup. It has a front center console that folds down and a single cup holder. That's where I put the fan. There are a few other cup holders, including two that sit next to the vent, but the fan doesn't fit in there. The AC doesn't work so I wanted the fan to be as close to me as possible. Here's how I used it. I did a six hour round trip today, all in South Texas. It's been 109 degrees a few times this year and today the average is 101 degrees. Please note that I am a desert rat and LOVE hot weather. I drove all day with the fan running as long as it was pointed at me. The side window on the driver's side was closed, the passenger's window was open, as were the two rear air vents. I have never felt uncomfortable. Other reviews say this fan is loud. In my opinion this is not the case. I had the radio on most of the time and could understand every word. People complain because he doesn't hesitate. You're right it's not, but since I was alone in the truck it wasn't a problem. It ran almost continuously for six hours and not once did the fan housing get hot. The cable was long enough to reach my dash with room left. I like this fan and am very happy with it. It has kept me cool in extreme heat with no air conditioning, which is what it's supposed to do. An amazing fan that I'm sure will work just as well when it gets hot.
