Review on First Alert P1210E Smoke Alarm by Robert Jaskolski

I bought this unit to replace the previous PR710 model. Let's start by saying I bought the first model last year and it lasted about 9 months. It beeps like a dead battery. Annoying, since a service life of 10 years is advertised. Good. Replaced by this model, purchased in August of this year. Less than 3 months later he failed at the worst. Four in the morning and it worked like it had detected smoke! After a thorough check in my house nothing. Of course, the reason I hit the mute button was thinking it was an accident. The next two hours passed. Removed from the ceiling and moved the button to disable, although it would be useless if it were. STILL SWITCH OFF. At 6 a.m. he picked up the gavel. I will never buy this make/model again. The last thing you want is a dead battery and especially a few false alarms when it comes to your home security. LOOK ELSEWHERE!
