I have different brands of cameras that I use for different purposes. I have 4 of the previously released Wyze cameras and am looking forward to the arrival of their latest camera. Their cameras are small and come with easy-to-use mounting hardware. I install cameras in traffic areas. If a person enters the zone, I immediately get a notification on my smartphone. I get a very clear picture of what the camera detected. These cameras have a long range and do not lose WiFi connection when they are near the router like other cameras. You must have cameras in a well-lit area for nighttime viewing. They have an extra spotlight for one of their cameras and it works great. I do NOT use these cameras solely for security purposes. My video surveillance system is hard-coded and runs 24/7. IP cameras can alert you to movement, but that's only PART of the security system. I would never rely solely on IP cameras for security. Hope this helps as Wyze makes some great, state of the art, technologically advanced IP cameras! You can also use an emulator on your PC and view cameras from your computer. I hope this helps, I really don't like it when people with no knowledge of security systems spread misinformation. Many years ago I subcontracted CCTV cameras to government sites and you never miss the basics of designing a good installation.
