Okay, I bought the wrong color for this item due to a lack of attention to detail. Twice. I replaced every part I could with sheet copper, but couldn't with the gas tank. So I decided to try the system. I like the rough look. After applying it according to the instructions, I noticed that it's a fairly even color, a very nice light green-blue. But it wormy matched the rest of the bike, which was rougher and darker blue with real copper patina. So I decided AFTER the paint and patina activator had dried I would try my regular patina mix. ammonia and salt. So I moved to a WELL VENTILATED room. Outside. Ammonia puts a strain on the lungs. I don't know how our product mixes with the patina activator so be careful. But it works! Very very happy with how it turned out for my use. That being said, I also did a test without the patina activator and it works, but not as well. TL;DR buy the right color and it will be beautiful!
