Review on πŸš‚ Enhance Imaginative Play with VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Freight Train and Tanker Car Set by Tony Basler

Revainrating 2 out of 5

This is his absolute favorite and he wants to play choo-choo all the time.

My son is almost two and LOVES this toy! This is his absolute favorite and he wants to play choo-choo all the time. That being said, I'm sure his train drains its batteries quicker than a more averagely used train. However, batteries run out too quickly. I literally have to change batteries at least once a day or the train won't run! What's even more frustrating are the EIGHT tiny screws that have to be tediously removed to swap out the batteries. In fact, I had to buy a very small screwdriver to even get the screws out. It takes a whopping 15 minutes to change batteries due to EIGHT screws and the overall awkward design of this toy! My son cries all the time because of his "choo-choo". We also have mine railway rails and an extension set. The extension kit is practically useless as the track edges are not high enough to keep the train on the track. He keeps breaking down. My husband and I will be very lucky when our son grows out of this 'chu-choo' phase as this toy is one of the least parent friendly toys on the market!

Pros
  • Drive Fred's Motorized Freight Train and Tanker Truck through SmartPoint locations on Go! Walk! Smart Wheels playsets (each sold separately) and he replies with different phrases etc.
Cons
  • Almost never
