Good for the price.
To be honest I wasn't expecting much for this price. And it delivered. Flashes great. There are some very useful lightning patterns. Everything is plastic except for the bracket. The hood doesn't come up short on a hacksaw, so don't expect to use it without cuts on, say, the rear window of an SUV. The emitted light forms a fairly dense cone, so it's very bright straight ahead, but falls off quickly at the sides. It's still quite usable, but not as a distraction. Luckily, it remembers the last used pattern, which is great. In short, this is what you would expect. It is not for nothing that other companies sell lamps of this size for 10 times the price. But for the price, it will get the job done.
