The P-trap has one function: to retain water and dirt. This device just isn't up to the task. Tolerances are tight and when used as an AC condensate drain line for the intended application will cause little leakage. Luckily, about a gallon of water accumulated in my sump and spilled throughout the day, and my float switch cut power as intended (note: another simple detail that gets the job done). We hope others are reading this and not just spending their money, but installing a cheap part that results in a costly mistake.
