I wasn't sure because I sleep on my stomach. I usually like firm and very flat pillows. I try to sleep on my side. I kept some filler in my bag in case I ever want to add more. But the material is quite firm, I can sleep on my stomach or my side. Then, if it seems too flat, I just fluff my pillow and you're done!
