Today I sewed metallic thread with 500 m spools and tried mesh. I liked that I could cut to the right length. I cut it a little longer so I can tuck it in at the bottom. With the thread stand, the thread came out the top of the spool and grabbed without tangling! No need to rip out perfect stitches with chicken wire, thread stand and topstitching needle! The net is heavy but soft. Not as scratchy as some I've used.
