Heavy mesh is a great product but be sure to check the tension

This is heavier than other thread mesh I've tried. It's good, but needed some adjustment to get the right tension. I can actually cut any mesh to the right length for different spool sizes. I would say I would buy it again but I think it could be a lifetime supply!

Tames metallic threads

Today I sewed metallic thread with 500 meter spools and tried out the net. I liked that I could cut to the right length. I cut it a little longer so I can tuck it in at the bottom. With the thread stand, the thread came out the top of the spool and grabbed without tangling! No need to rip out perfect stitches with chicken wire, thread stand and topstitching needle! The net is heavy but soft. Not as scratchy as some I've used.

Cons
  • Expensive

Very impressive

Glad I bought these despite the previous bad reviews. When using large quilting threads, regular bobbins won't work because the tapers are too big. They are also quite expensive. I received them today and put them on three open spools. As you can see from the picture they fit well and serve their purpose. At 20 yards, even if they're disposable, they should last a very long time. I am very impressed and very happy with my purchase.
