strong, comfortable and cute collar

I first bought a red checkered collar (large for reference) for my husky, the reviews were really good and I liked the design. My dog is mostly outdoors and runs away a lot so I needed a strong collar that would hold his mark if he ever gets too far/lost. I can say that it lasted almost 2 years of daily use but eventually broke. The little gray clip holding his dog tag broke one day while he was digging and doing dog business about 1-2 months ago and last week the real buckle finally broke (it broke so it didn't close fully). Another great thing was that the color didn't fade, after washing after it got dirty it turned bright red again. However, I have not walked my dog with this collar as he uses a harness, the collar was only used to hold his dog tags. So I don't know if it affected the duration. Dog collars are more expensive but I think it's worth it considering how durable and comfortable they are. I had to use a different brand collar (I had his old collar, I think I got it from Walmart for about $6) when the old red one broke and when I took it off overnight I saw a dent in the fur off the collar and didn't seem comfortable. With this collar there is no dent when you take it off and the fur does not get tangled. I decided to go ahead and buy another one (this time I had a navy blue and red plaid) and I think I'll keep buying it if I can't find another one that we like.
