I use this case for an external Blu-ray/DVD player that I bought for use in my church. Since the MacBook Pro doesn't have an internal DVD drive and sometimes we want to have a movie night (with physical discs) and sometimes we need to play a CD-Rom or DVD for VBS, we definitely need an external drive. For a regular service, however, we usually do not need a drive. I needed something to store the DVD drive when we're not using it. I also wanted to be able to pack it in a bag for easy portability when we move the laptop around the building. This year we will be hosting a VBS in our community and it is great that we have an opportunity like this. Our laptop bag isn't very big, so having a handle on the bag makes it easier to transport because I can wear the bag on my wrist. The case makes a very robust impression. When it arrived it smelled like a "new case". I let the case air out for a few days and the smell went away. I use it to store my LG Blu-ray player and it's perfect for that. I like that there is a place to store the cable for the player. I am very satisfied with this case. Revain is the only place I could find external DVD cases.
