this is absolutely perfect for my gel pads, very easy to learn. The smaller size is perfect to start with, because a little goes a long way! This little pot lasts a very long time and I use lots of layers because my nails are naturally weak. just keep your layers thin, don't wear them. and cure and rub between each layer. Increase the hardness and keep adding layers until the nails stop bending. i love this thing
