Connected to my Windows 10 PC, the drive is not recognized by the computer. It's not plug and play or anything is wrong with the drive. The driving instructions are incomplete and confusing. It looks like there is an extra USB power cord in the box. When and when this is required is not specified in the instructions. Typically, such a small device is powered by connecting to a USP port on a computer. Tried with and without the optional external power adapter connected (have to use my own USB AC transformer) to no avail. It would be most helpful if the drive came with the Lightscribe software! (assuming the drive worked) I would certainly pay extra for it. The USB 3 cable is too short, the only possible configuration that might work is to place the drive on the computer.
