I bought this item to get rid of mice on my desk. I have two NVRs, a desktop computer and a 48" smart TV, both of which use a USB mouse. With this device I went from 4 mice to 1. When I turn on the TV it works automatically The mouse works with the TV. I'm not happy with that. I would prefer if the mouse is switched to a device other than the TV and I turn on the TV that it stays switched to the device I'm using. (NVR or Desktop). This also happens when I wake up my desktop; If I don't select this device for my desktop, it automatically switches to my desktop. The USB switch has indicators that show which USB port has been selected. The indicators are very small and very difficult to see as they are on the inside of the switch and not flush with the outside. No matter what device I want to use, I just move my mouse by toggling the USB switch from one input to another until the mouse starts working on the device I want. I've read reviews where people were unhappy with the other switch as it's plastic and doesn't seem to be very durable. It's not plastic and looks very sturdy. I've had this device for about 2 months and haven't had any problems. This device is a good buy.
